Field Notes Fall Quarterly Edition Hatch Direct From Nashville [2022]

Releasing the Pressing Issues: A Series on Ink, Paper, and Muscle memo books as part of their Quarterly Editions, Field Notes’ took to exploring the history of American printing, publishing and design. And they knew exactly where they wanted to start with a collaboration feature with none other than Nashville’s legendary letterpress Hatch Show Print. Hatch has been known to recombine its archive of historic images that have proven to carry a timeless and vibrant look with each of its releases. 

For the 56th Quartley Limited Edition, the collaboration between Hatch and Field Notes’ revolved around the idea to focus on three elements as their title suggests: Ink, Paper and Muscle. And if there’s one thing to always expect with Field Notes, it’s always the history and artwork that leaves us in awe. Each 3-pack set of memo books comes with diverse designs – so the element of surprise of getting an assorted mix of memo books detailing Hatch Show Print’s variation of vintage type and hand-cared images is more than exciting for us!
